This 7-week Bible Study series is designed to help married couples rediscover God’s original intention for intimacy within marriage. Rooted in biblical truth, Closer Than Close explores the concept of “into-me-see”—a deeper emotional, spiritual, and physical connection that reflects the love of Christ.  

Couples will engage in thoughtful teaching, open dialogue, and practical application as they learn how to cultivate intimacy that honors God, strengthens their union, and fosters a safe space of vulnerability, trust, and love. Whether you’re newly married or have decades together, this study will invite you to see your spouse through God’s eyes and draw closer than ever before.  

By the end of this 7-week series, couples will be able to: 
1.  Understand God’s Original Design for Intimacy  Explore biblical foundations of intimacy and how God intended marriage to reflect His love and unity. 
2.  Deepen Emotional Connection  Learn how to create safe spaces for vulnerability, trust, and authentic communication. 
3.  Strengthen Spiritual Intimacy  Develop spiritual practices that help couples grow closer to God and each other. 
4.  Nurture Physical Intimacy with Purpose and Purity  Embrace physical closeness as a sacred, joyful expression of love within the marriage covenant. 
5.  Identify and Remove Barriers to Intimacy  Address past wounds, emotional disconnect, and communication breakdowns that hinder connection. 
6.  Create a Vision for God-Honoring Intimacy  Craft a shared vision that aligns with God’s purpose for marriage and reflects His heart for unity. 
7.  Commit to Growing in Intimacy Together  Leave with practical tools, prayer strategies, and action steps to continue building a marriage that thrives in intimacy long after the study ends.
