The Fellowship Purpose connects Turner Chapel AME members to each other, to help lead us to the knowledge and the feeling that we are one body in Christ. Adult Athletic Ministry
This ministry develops and coordinates activities and fellowship opportunities through participation in various women, men, and co-ed athletic leagues.
Dream Lifters Ministry
Dream Lifters offers professional development on various business topics to share resources with those who need help in an existing business or to start a business. It also provides support, encouragement and instruction to the unemployed and underemployed by facilitating workshops and seminars designed to meet the needs of jobseekers and those desiring career advancement.
The Echelon Young Adult Ministry
Turner Chapel’s Young Adult ministry is called Echelon. The purpose of Echelon is to extend support, encouragement, and Biblical teaching to young adults, ages 18-26. Echelon strives to offer young adults the opportunity to serve at church and in the community. Echelon offers a variety of activities that focus on fellowship, worship, service, evangelism and discipleship. Echelon gives young adult believers the chance to connect with one another and strives to give them the opportunity to grow in their relationship with the Lord by being involved in ministry and utilizing their authentic gifts and talents. “Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity.” -Hebrews 6:1A
Golden Agers Ministry (Seniors)
This ministry provides assistance, care, and guidance to elderly members by coordinating activities and fellowship opportunities to benefit the elderly.
Healthcare Ministry encourages a healthier congregation by increasing members’ awareness of healthcare issues. The ministry sponsors informational events throughout the year and provides First Aid care during church services.
HIV/AIDS W.A.R. (Wellness Awareness Recovery)
This ministry provides an annual workshop on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
Keeping The Covenant Married Couples Ministry
Keeping the Covenant supports, encourages, and instructs married couples through fellowship activities, seminars, small group Bible Study, workshops, and retreats to assist in building stronger Christian marriages.
Keeping Turner Connected (KTC)
KTC connects members through focused communication, small groups, and fellowship activities that promote unity.
The Quilting Group
The Quilting Group shares quilting ideas, patterns and pictures of quilts, in addition to decorating and creating quilts.
The Needle Craft Group
The Needle Craft Group provides a forum for sharing various knitting, crocheting and sewing techniques. Their work is displayed during an annual craft show.
Regarding Women Ministry (RWM)
RWM addresses the needs and issues that pertain to women through a variety of activities: Bible Study classes, seminars, workshops, revivals, retreats/advances, shopping trips and more. Women can grow spiritually and become connected.
Singles with Anointed Vision (SWAV)
SWAV connects and empowers single members through workshops, seminars, Bible Study and fellowships.
Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry
This ministry develops and implements an array of activities where men gather to fellowship and address specific issues and challenges relating to men.
Tender Loving Care (TLC)
TLC provides support and recognition to members during special moments, providing heartwarming and memorable expressions of love.
