The book of Galatians is the Emancipation Proclamation for the church, it declares and defines Christian liberty. Paul wrote it to refute the devilish idea that salvation is based on adherence to a religious code. Paul reminded the believers that salvation isn’t based on following a religious code. Nor is it based on what we do (or don’t do) or what we know or feel. Nothing is required on our part, except to believe. Salvation comes through the cross - no additions, no alterations. In showing us the profound difference between living by the law and living by faith, he reminds us that we are indeed free in Christ.

Key Themes
·        Salvation comes by grace, not works
·        We should bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives
