Peter and Paul are two major Biblical characters to whom God
gave different missions. Some say that there is only one gospel while others
say that Peter and Paul espoused two different gospels. This Bible study will
give examples of the assignments of these two major Biblical characters
and highlight differences in their teachings. We will address some of the
conflicts within the early church and examine how Peter and Paul dealt with
them. We will study Peter’s teachings in 1Peter and 2Peter and we will study
Paul’s teachings in Galatians. The objective is that the student will become
more familiar with these Biblical characters and their teachings while
understanding their differences.
This class is available to new Bible Scholars as well as experienced ones. Approximately
14 chapters will be covered, and the class length is about 16 weeks. The
Bible is the primary book for this class.
