The Book of I Corinthians
Facilitator: Rev. Harden Perry

First Corinthians contains a frank discussion of the church and the issues that impacted real people in the first century. The Corinthian church was corroded with sin on a variety of fronts, so Paul provided an important model for how the church should handle the problem of sin in its midst. Rather than turn a blind eye toward relational division and all kinds of immorality, he addressed the problems head on. In his bold call to purity within the Corinthian church, Paul made it clear that he was willing to risk the good opinion of some in order to help cleanse the sin that tainted the church (Insight for Living Ministries, 2018, p. 1).

We welcome you to join us in an uplifting and joyous fellowship as we grow in Christian maturity and spiritual wisdom to better follow and serve our Lord and Jesus Christ.

EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY
Echelon Bible Study (Ages 18-35)

Facilitator: Roz Turner

“The combination of emotional health and focusing one's life completely on God through prayer, living in love, and an awareness of God's presence unleashes the Holy Spirit inside us so that we might experientially know the power of an authentic life in Christ."  The help the community needs is here: a clear explanation of our troubles and a guide to finding relief through faith, therapy, diet, and exercise, as well as through building a supportive network (and eliminating toxic people). This session will encourage us to face the truth about the issue that plunges our spirits into darkness, so that we can step into the healing light.

SHAPED TO SERVE

Facilitators: Membership Team

God formed every creature on this planet with a special area of expertise. Each has a particular role to play, shaped by God. You are uniquely designed, or “shaped,” to do certain things.

Not only did God shape you before your birth, He planned every day of your life to support His shaping process. This means that nothing that happens in your life is insignificant. God uses all of it to mold you for your ministry to others and shape you for your service to Him.

Here we will focus our attention more specifically on how God has individually created each of us to live and serve as vital members on His ministry team.  Enjoy these four dynamic sessions as we begin to “Explore God’s Unique Design for Every Believer.”
THE BOOK OF ROMANS (Part 2)

Facilitator: Ernest L. Foster

Paul’s letter to the Romans is widely recognized by many as being the single most influential book within the bible. Unlike Paul’s other epistles, which addressed specific crises, such as internal divisions or sexual practices, Romans addresses broad, core doctrinal and theological issues within the Christian faith. The topics to be addressed during this study will strengthen the spiritual foundation of new and seasoned Christians alike. Many of the foundational topics that will be discuss are: The Gospel; Salvation; Justification; The Law; Jews; and much more.

DISCOVERING THE HABITS THAT LEAD TO SPIRITUAL MATURITY
(Class 201)

Facilitator: Rev. Edwina Graham

THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLASS:
" ... that you may become mature Christians and may fulfill God's will for you."
Col. 4:12b

"We are not meant to remain as children ... but to grow up in every way into Christ" Eph. 4:14-15

THE FOCUS OF THIS CLASS:
We will focus on the Four Basic Habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity. This class will ...
· Equip you with the skills you need to begin these habits
· Explain the tools you need to continue these habits.

WHAT IS "SPIRITUAL MATURITY"?
"In the unity of common faith, and knowledge of the Son of God, we arrive at real maturity - the
measure of development which is meant by 'the fullness of Christ.” Eph 4:13

Spiritual Maturity is __BEING LIKE CHRIST__________
"For from the very beginning God decided that those who came to him ... should become like his Son...."Rom.8:29

TOTAL FORGIVENESS

Facilitator: Kevin Beard

R.T. Kendall: forgiving yourself and others! It’s the most obvious and fundamental teaching of the New Testament. Yet, it’s perhaps one of the hardest issues one will struggle with.

This 13-week study will show you how to:
·      Learn ways to let go of grudges
·      Avoid traps such as denial and pretending not to hurt
·      Know you have released others
·      Help others feel a new sense of freedom
·      Apply forgiving and forgetting to your life
·      Choose to keep no records of wrong
·      Love your enemies and blessed them

This study features brief excerpts from total forgiveness, probing questions, various exercises, and prayer tips. The detailed lessons, often a powerful and necessary teaching tool, aid and assist Christians and Bible study teachers in learning and knowing God’s way to forgive and forget.

It’s conducted in small group discussions; lead questions and scenarios guide you into the complexities of forgiving. The lessons will compel you to remember what you learn and express how you feel as you journey to the day when you can trust more and forgive more.

TEXTBOOK (required)
By R.T. Kendall, “Total Forgiveness,” Charisma House, Revised edition (September 24, 2010). The books are sold in the TCC Bookstore.
