God is truly an awesome God! A few months ago I attended a black tie affair at the Strand Theater in Marietta. I purchased what is now my second CD of a local artist whose music I love and was introduced to about 4 years ago through a co-worker. Indeed this artist is one of the hidden secrets of God in Atlanta that a few of us know about. On the CD were a few favorite songs that I always enjoyed but never fully listened to the CD in its entirety. Like many members at Turner, I have not been exempt from the financial test and trials that have come during this recession. I am a single parent and some days it gets really tough. Over the past week, I randomly decided to play the CD I purchased a few months ago. I listened to my favorites but for some reason was captivated by the lyrics in a song that was not one that I normally enjoyed. I couldn't stop playing the song on my desktop at work and even in the car as I went throughout the week, so much that I set the player to repeat! Over and over I was encouraged by the words of the song. Having long days as I normally do, I was trying to decide if I should come to the one night revival Friday night because I was really tired not to mention the low carb diet I started that totally exhausts in the beginning phase from the sugar withdrawals! I went to the Turner rec center as I normally do for my adjustment and reluctantly decided to come to church afterwards. I was about 40 minutes late but arrived just at the point of welcome to all the guests. I still had on my jeans from the casual day at work as I had not yet been home from the morning. I didn't sit in the back but far enough back that if I needed to excuse myself early, I could do that(you know how we do it, one finger up)LOL. When the welcome was done, a young lady came on stage to minister to us. I couldn't believe my eyes or my ears when I saw her and when I heard the song that she began to sing! I literally said to myself Oh my God! I sat there in total amazement because the song I had been listening to all week was the song she began to sing! "Bend but don't break though trials come your way..you are going to be ok..I promise it won't hurt always..it's all to make you stronger..hold on just a little longer...keep holding on..God has been there all along..you can bend you can bend but don't break" was the message in the song. The artist was Shamora Crawford. While Turner invited her to minister for Women's Day, I believe that God invited her to show me how personal He can be and that he truly meets us just where we are if we keep him first. Needless to say in addition to the spiritual magnitude of the evening, I did get my picture with Shamora and autograph. No long lines and free! Thank you God for being so wonderful! You are faithful even when we are not..I know each of us will be delivered in "DEW" season! God bless you all.

I requested prayer for my daughter Brittany because she was going through some challenging times and was feeling like she should give up on everyhting including herself and college. Well HALLELUJAH I am glad to report things are looking much better for her. She has gotten it together in her personal, spritual and college life. Thank you so much for keeping her lifted in prayer. May God Richly Bless You In All That You Do!!!!
