This is the last day of the Empowerment fast and I did not get the opportunity to say thanks to my Father and to the Church this morning for the Daniel and the Financial fast on the Prayer Call. Like the woman with the issue, the crowd was so thick I could not find the space to break through. We as a people have been in great need for help with our finances. We needed for the church to take this on and make it important for all of us to do. While I recognize that there are exceptions, throughout my life I have always wondered why we are so unlike any other culture that comes to the USA and manages to prosper when many in our culture do not. I live on the side of town near Chamblee and I see many cultures Hispanic, Asian, Indian etc., tackle the odds and achieve their American dream, not only in their finances and ownership but also in the way they are regarded as a people by the host society. When you listen to the news many seem to receive the respect that so many of our people have somehow never gained. There is also the evidence that the other cultures take education more seriously than we do. I was sitting in my pew that Sunday morning in 2011 when the big screens showed statistics of the disparagement of test scores and grades for the various ethnicities and ours seemed to come in last place in just about everything. The shocker that day was Hispanics coming in above our culture in the subject of English! It may seem to you that I have gotten way off the topic of finances, but I have not. It all starts with being good stewards of the resources that God has entrusted us with, and as Michelle Singletary has so brilliantly shown us the RESOURCES in our lives are often greater than money. Fathers and mothers should pray each day for God to help them in the rearing of the children that he has ENTRUSTED them with, because the teaching about financial stewardship, good education, healthy diets and other Godly values is what we as parents need to break the generational cycle of our often poor statistics against other cultures. Please share my sentiments with others.

To God be the Glory! My husband, Darnell, and I for the first time in our 12 years of marriage have JOYFULLY come into agreement to be obedient to GOD in a difficlt situation - by paying our tithes in full. We know in GOD's TIME it will ultimately bear fruit as we cultivate this habit of trusting HIM. Thank you Turner for introducing us to the 21-Day Financial Fast. Something good is going on here!

My water was subject to being shut off because I didn't have the money to pay along with my cell phone and my best friend, who lives in a different state who is also participating in the fast sent money to help. I'm so thankful to God and to her for the awesome blessing.

I praise God for second chances! I praise Him for keeping me when I didn't know I needed to be kept in 2011! I praise God for drawing my family closer to him in 2012 and for opening doors for His children that no man can close! Amongst the many other things, I praise God for already honoring my sacrifice during this Daniel and Financial fast and I praise Him in advance for being my strength when I am weak.

I wanted to share this story today as a testimony that God can do amazing things. I wanted to shove the truth in the devils face because he is coming at me today in a new manner-(finances). Satan you won't win this either. You are already defeated in Jesus name-Amen! However, I can't forget how awesome God was 10 years ago til today. And even before 10 years ago. I am so blessed and highly favored. The devil is a liar! Ask God for your healing - John 14:14 - "If you ask any thing in my name, I will do it." Thank you God for Healing and your promises. Mark 11:23. About 10 years ago I was diagnoised with this illness. And all I can say is that the onset of this was terribly painful. The worst pain imaginable! I could not walk due to the fluid and swelling and I was deemed disabed at the time. Later as the pain went away from my body it started to affect my both eyes badly. However, today I am totally healed!!!! What is RA – (Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic inflammatory disorder that may affect many tissues and organs, but principally attacks synovial joints. The process produces an inflammatory response of the synovium (synovitis) secondary to hyperplasia of synovial cells, excess synovial fluid, and the development of pannus in the synovium. The pathology of the disease process often leads to the destruction of articular cartilage and ankylosis of the joints). I worked really hard not to tell everyone how bad I felt. I cried many days in secret, but I always stayed faithful to never confess in front of anyone my pains I was ill. When the pain of my body left I was able to go back to work. However, ten years ago I lost the best job ever behind this illness and I pray daily to reclaim that loss. I had two specialist, alot of fluid everywhere, hospitalized for 1-2 weeks, and suffered acute iritis which is related to RA. I took the vitamins, changed my diet, took predisone, anti inflammatory drugs, pain pills, celebrex, & vioxx at the time. Through my ups and downs I read this book: Charles Capps mini book "God's Creative Power for Healing" and my favorite songs at the time were Smokie Norful - Still say Thank You, And Shout to the Lord by Darlene Zschech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-j7CFfDvHc). God told me at the time to relax, trust him, and to enjoy the beauty of nature. This taught me that God loved me and wanted me to know that he was in control. In the end what started off being a horrible experience turned out to be a peaceful time where I had incredible fellowship with God. I learned to totally trust God and never be afraid of what's to come. I mean I used to get sick near heart attack vomiting spit up type stuff worried while sick about money Somehow, I made it then. And I progressively got better to the point of totally being healed today. What I learned during this time was confessing daily God's promises, speaking it out loud, praying in the spirit, and speaking positive about your situation. After 10 years that's past I am proud to say I am completely healed. God is an awesome God!! So if you have any illness today. Trust and Truly believe God you are healed and you will be. God is able Turner - May everyone on the prayer wall have their needs met Phil 4:19, Mt 18:19

All praises belong to God. Thank you for interceding and showing Divine favor. I have been approved for an apartment, set up for counseling and sought legal advice to fight this wrongful eviction. I would personally like to thank Minister Gibson for praying for me when I could not find the strength to pray for myself. Thank you to all who have prayed for. Hallelujah!!!

God is truly an awesome God! A few months ago I attended a black tie affair at the Strand Theater in Marietta. I purchased what is now my second CD of a local artist whose music I love and was introduced to about 4 years ago through a co-worker. Indeed this artist is one of the hidden secrets of God in Atlanta that a few of us know about. On the CD were a few favorite songs that I always enjoyed but never fully listened to the CD in its entirety. Like many members at Turner, I have not been exempt from the financial test and trials that have come during this recession. I am a single parent and some days it gets really tough. Over the past week, I randomly decided to play the CD I purchased a few months ago. I listened to my favorites but for some reason was captivated by the lyrics in a song that was not one that I normally enjoyed. I couldn't stop playing the song on my desktop at work and even in the car as I went throughout the week, so much that I set the player to repeat! Over and over I was encouraged by the words of the song. Having long days as I normally do, I was trying to decide if I should come to the one night revival Friday night because I was really tired not to mention the low carb diet I started that totally exhausts in the beginning phase from the sugar withdrawals! I went to the Turner rec center as I normally do for my adjustment and reluctantly decided to come to church afterwards. I was about 40 minutes late but arrived just at the point of welcome to all the guests. I still had on my jeans from the casual day at work as I had not yet been home from the morning. I didn't sit in the back but far enough back that if I needed to excuse myself early, I could do that(you know how we do it, one finger up)LOL. When the welcome was done, a young lady came on stage to minister to us. I couldn't believe my eyes or my ears when I saw her and when I heard the song that she began to sing! I literally said to myself Oh my God! I sat there in total amazement because the song I had been listening to all week was the song she began to sing! "Bend but don't break though trials come your way..you are going to be ok..I promise it won't hurt always..it's all to make you stronger..hold on just a little longer...keep holding on..God has been there all along..you can bend you can bend but don't break" was the message in the song. The artist was Shamora Crawford. While Turner invited her to minister for Women's Day, I believe that God invited her to show me how personal He can be and that he truly meets us just where we are if we keep him first. Needless to say in addition to the spiritual magnitude of the evening, I did get my picture with Shamora and autograph. No long lines and free! Thank you God for being so wonderful! You are faithful even when we are not..I know each of us will be delivered in "DEW" season! God bless you all.
