Following Leadership
By Minister Daimein SolomonHebrews 13:7 (KJV), “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation”.
The leaders in God’s Church do God’s Will by leading the masses and by being living examples of Christ. A Pastor leads his people into a better relationship with Jesus Christ giving them more power, more strength, more faith, more hope, more joy and more peace.
God has put pastors in charge of the souls of the people. Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV) says, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding”. Our Pastor has given us a level of knowledge and understanding, which can help us to live more effective and fruitful lives. Our job is not to just take this knowledge and understanding and keep it all to ourselves, yet to share it with others.
We need to be sure to help, assist or aid our pastor in any way, shape or form. As a body we all serve different functions. Not everyone can be an eye, but maybe you can be a helping hand, not everyone can be the brain, but you can be a supportive limb or a foot, which runs to put things into action. Easter Sunday 2010 was a wonderful worship experience. The sanctuary was nearly filled to capacity, the spirit was high and the Lord truly blessed all those that were in attendance. That Sunday in particular, gave Turner a glimpse of how our sanctuary should be filled. It showed a little bit of the Vision that our Pastor has for every worship experience.
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV) says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. Many have heard this scripture and songs have even been written, but like anything else, just speaking it or singing it is not enough. James 1:22-25 (KJV) speaks of being a hearer of the word and a doer. A doer of the word hears it and puts it into practice. If not he is like a man, which looks at himself in the mirror and then immediately forgets what he looks like.
After we believe the Vision, we support it, and make every effort to bring it to life by following the direction of the leadership of the church.
If our Pastor has impacted your life in any way, shape or form, if a kind word or gesture from any member, or officer of the church has touched your life, you can show your appreciation by lining up with the vision of the church. The Vision’s appointed time is now, while we have life, while we can still move, while we can still act and think. The message is clear and so is the vision, we have waited for the time and it has come.
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”. We have a vision in this church, but it may perish because there are some who have not caught on to it.
The vision our Pastor has for the church lines up with the work and vision of the early church. The early church in Acts grew because the word was going forth with power and the people accepted the vision and the message which came from the Apostles.
It is important for all to be on one accord and to be like minded. Like the body, we are all connected parts of the same body even though we perform different functions. The body of Christ operates as a whole and when God’s Spirit, Jesus’ Spirit, the Holy Spirit is in the people that body operates in hope, in joy, in strength, in love, in peace, in power and in the grace and mercy of God. “He that keepeth the law, happy is he”, why because he followed the vision and has seen the results. He did as he should and has been blessed. He did as God required and was given more power, more strength, more wisdom, more love, more joy, more peace, and more life.
Prayer
Lord we pray that you help those who may not have lined up with the vision of the church to see the value in it. Help them to understand that they are not only blessing others but they are blessing themselves as well. Give us strength, wisdom and understanding to grow your kingdom and bring those who are in need of Salvation to your church.

New subject: Sunday is Mother’s Day and we will be encouraged to honor the woman who gave birth to us. As a mother who have a natural born child and one who is legally adopted, over the years I have watched the confusion on my adopted child’s face when he is told to stand or some other means give honor to “the woman who gave birth to you.” Please try an be more aware of these children, because some my already feel that they are somehow different because they are adopted. Please help them feel that a mother or a father, no matter how they have become that parent and have loved and supported them through out their lives is indeed that Mother or Father who deserve honor.
