WOMEN ANCHORED IN THE LORD

The women’s Sunday School Class, Women Anchored in the Lord, will be starting a new study this month. The book which will be used for this study is Rediscovering the Kingdom by Miles Munroe. A copy of this can be obtained in the TCC’s bookstore. We look forward to seeing you in Sunday School.

   
  Free At Last! Free At Last! Thank God Almighty, We Are Free At Last!

Yes Family, We are Free Forever From Condemnation. Romans 8:1 & 2 says that therefore now, there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Because the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. Uummh. Somebody ought to say Amen.

GIVE YOUR FAMILY THE GIFT OF THEATRE FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

The RWM invite you to start the holiday season with the play, Black Nativity. Black Nativity,
written by Langston Hughes, is the reinvention of the Christmas story. It is a soul-stirring musical celebration consisting of a combination of poetry, dance, scripture and gospel music. Black Nativity will bring out the real reason for the season. The play will be held on Saturday, December 20th at the Rialto Center for Performing Arts and we will attend the 2:30 show. TCC Visual Ministry is looking for volunteers

The Visual Ministry is responsible for providing Powerpoint and Lighting for the church.
We are looking for individual 16 and older to assist with weekly responsibilities including church
services and special events. If you have a basic knowledge of Powerpoint and the willingness to
commit to a steady schedule please contact Carmelita Cavaness at tccvisual@gmail.com.
Individual training will be provided.

 
 

Math Tutors: We Need You!

Tuesday Night Tutoring (TNT) is in need of additional math tutors. We accept students,
teachers, or adults who are proficient in math. Students must be a high school junior or above

  Worship With Thanksgiving and Praise

Thanksgiving Worship Service: Thursday, November 20, 2008. We are celebrating Thanksgiving together in one Worship Service on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 7:00 pm. We will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord through praise & worship, liturgical dance and dramatic presentation. This is going to be a wonderful time of worshipping together and celebrating all that we are grateful for. Bring the whole family, friends and all your neighbors!

   
  YOUTH ATHLETICS

The next meeting of the Youth Athletics Ministry will be on Thursday, November 20 in the
Hyde Drive Recreational Facility at 7:00 p.m. Our vision is to glorify God by developing our young athletes’ God given gifts, talents, and abilities using the vehicle of sports and physical fitness.Parents, you are encouraged and welcome to attend and participate. Annual Christmas in November Celebration and Worship Service
3rd Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 4:00 PM.

Praise the Lord! An opportunity for you and your family to participate in ministry and share the love of Jesus with the giving of gifts through our “CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER” celebration at the Specialty Care Nursing Home, and with those individuals we minister to at the Marietta Rehabilitation Center and the Bryan Center in partnership with the Golden Agers/Treasures Ministry.

   
  Angel Tree Adopt A Family For Christmas
Evangelism Purpose Ministry

It’s that time of the season again to Adopt A Family For Christmas from Angel Tree. We have 31
Angel Tree families and 64 children to be adopted. A Sign-up table will be on the 2nd level after each service to adopt-a-family. We are also in need of volunteers to assist in the Angel Tree Christmas Celebration. For more information contact Rev. Harden Perry or Rev. Patrice Flowers.

  THE FOODSHARE MINISTRY

The Foodshare Ministry is now accepting food orders for November 2008. Menus and order forms are located on the information table in the church lobby on the 1st floor. The deadline to order is Friday, November 7, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Order pick up is Saturday, November 22, 2008, 10:00 am - 11:00 am. To place your order please complete the order form, place it in an envelope addressed “The Foodshare Ministry” along with your payment and leave the envelope with the church receptionist for retrieval by the Foodshare Ministry. The Turner Chapel AME Healthcare Ministry has chosen to fight back against this disease and help make a difference by participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is our opportunity to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, educate women about early detection and prevention, and raise money to fund lifesaving research and support programs to help fight breast cancer. transmitting television signals known as analog to new digital broadcasts. Digital television (DTV) provides crystal-clear pictures, better sound, and more channels. FLU SHOTS

The healthcare ministry is welcoming Compassionate Care Ministries on Sunday, November 23rd to provide flu shots to anyone who is above 9 years old. A parent must be present if you are under 18 years old. The cost for the flu shot is $20.00 and will be given in the downstairs 1st Aid Room. Alpha to Omega
“A Journey from Addiction to the Kingdom”

Every Saturday, including holidays, 7:00 p.m., 480 N. Fairground St.

Alpha to Omega is a weekly group discussion meeting for individuals who are currently struggling or previously struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol. The sessions are designed to assist individuals understand the difference between short-term abstinence and long-term recovery and to assist individuals move beyond their addictions and develop a close working relationship with God in a clean and sober state. The last Saturday of each
month is a special guest speaker meeting.
