Inside Turner Chapel
Reverend Don Ezell
Youth Pastor Pastor Kenneth Marcus appointed Reverend Don Ezell to the position of Youth Pastor on July 1, 2007. "Reverend Don" as he is affectionately called, has been involved with youth ministry at Turner Chapel for seven plus years. He has held several positions in youth ministry serving as bible study teacher, children’s church leader, and Interim Youth Pastor. Rev. Don has been a member of Turner Chapel for 14 years. He accepted his call to preach in 1997 and was ordained an Itinerate Deacon in May 2000. In 2001, Rev. Don began to recognize the gift he has to explain complex spiritual truths to children and youth in a way they understand. Since that time he has been actively working with the children and youth on many different levels. It takes listening to only one of Rev. Don's sermons to understand why he is adored by children and appreciated by adults. Rev. Don is a creative preacher who uses everyday illustrations to help his audience internalize the Word of God. Originally from Fort Valley, Georgia, Rev. Don’s favorite scripture is Matthew 6:34 which says "Therefore, worry not for tomorrow, for tomorrow has its own worries. Sufficient for today is the trouble therein." He is married to Crystal and has two children; Alexis and Antonio (DJ). Rev. Don truly has a heart for God and a sincere affection and concern for all of His people.
